Use the following procedures to import telephone directory data into MiVoice Business:
To preview the integrated Telephone Directory Data
Go to the Telephone
Directory form.
Click Import.
From the Import Telephone Directory dialog box, click Browse.
Define a path to the spreadsheet file that contains the telephone directory and then click Next.
A Validating Data dialog appears.
Review the data listed in the Import Preview window.
NOTE: If you are importing from a CSV file previously exported from the Telephone Directory form, do not import records where the GUID values are blank. Doing so can cause the GDM CHECK to report errors, and if a GDM REPAIR runs, service outages can occur if the MiVB is sharing with a MiCollab server.
If no errors are detected, proceed to Import Telephone Directory Data.
If the Import Preview window displays errors, select from the follow options:
Previous - to return to the Import Telephone Directory dialog, revise the import file entries, and begin the import process again.
Print - to print the Preview window to keep a record of the errors. Note that Print is enabled only when you are in the Show Only Errors view (that is, when Show All Data is displayed at the bottom of the screen).
Import - to import the spreadsheet file.
Cancel - to cancel the import and return to the Telephone Directory form. After you cancel, you can modify data in the import file, or exit the Telephone Directory form and begin the import process at a later time.
NOTE: The Import button is disabled if data validation errors occur. You cannot import erroneous configuration data. If necessary, troubleshoot validation errors.
To import Telephone Directory data
Go to the Telephone
Directory form.
Click Import.
The Import in Progress dialog box appears. You can stop an import in progress by clicking Stop.
After the import is stopped, click OK to return to the Telephone Directory form.
NOTE: When an import is stopped, the dialog box indicates Only <x> of <y> records were imported. These imported records remain in the system database. If you wish to remove them, you must delete the records in the Telephone Directory form. See Deleting Existing Information for more information.
When the import completes successfully, click OK to return to the Telephone Directory form.
If necessary, troubleshoot import errors.
